Rural road of newer colonials on large wooded lots with deep setbacks in southern New Hampshire

Gutter Service in Brentwood, NH

Rockingham County's courthouse and county complex are in Brentwood, but the town around them is rural, with newer homes on large wooded lots along the Exeter River. We cover Brentwood from Hampstead, about 13 miles and roughly 20 minutes by our estimate, so visits are planned ahead. On big lots with long eaves, we ask for stories, sides affected and photos before the trip.

If you have business at the Rockingham County courthouse, you have been to Brentwood. The courthouse is on Route 125, the county complex is on North Road, and Brentwood has been the county seat since 1997. Outside those buildings, it is a rural town of large lots.

Newer homes on large wooded lots

Brentwood's median home was built in 1995, and 96% are owner-occupied (ACS 2020-24). That is newer and more settled than much of the housing in nearby towns. A house from 1995 is typically on the gutters it was built with, and those are now 30 years old. Their sealant is dry, their hangers have loosened and their downspouts may have shifted.

The lots are big, and the trees on them are close to the houses. Oak and pine litter fills gutters on the back and sides first, where nobody looks. Our page on gutter cleaning lays out a visit.

A full install on a large Brentwood lot

A large rural lot is a different job from a tight in-town one. There is room to work, and access is rarely the problem. What matters is the length of the runs, the number of corners and how high the eaves are. A two-story colonial with a garage wing and a rear deck can have 200 feet of gutter or more.

For a job like that, we measure every run, plan the downspouts and cut seamless gutters to length. Measuring first means we know the materials before we arrive.

Guards under the oaks

On a wooded Brentwood lot, gutter guards are a natural question. They work best on a moderate roof pitch with a gutter that is already in good shape. They do not end cleaning, and fine debris and oak tassels will collect on top. A yearly brush-off or rinse keeps them working.

Homeyou's 2026 range for 54 feet of guards is $192 to $355, and a large house has far more than 54 feet. Our post on whether gutter guards are worth it in NH goes through the trade-offs.

Exeter River lots

Brentwood sits on the Exeter River, and the lots near it can hold water in spring. A downspout that ends near the foundation of a house like that adds to a damp basement. We look at the slope and plan an outlet that carries water away across lawn.

What to send before we make the trip

Because Brentwood is one of our farther towns, a few details save a visit. Tell us the number of stories, roughly how many sides of the house have problems and whether you want to keep the current color. A photo of each eave, and one of the worst corner, lets us bring the right materials.

None of that replaces measuring. We still walk the roofline and take the final numbers on site. But with the details first, the written price is faster and closer to the final number.

A planned trip from Hampstead

Brentwood is 13 miles out, and we say so plainly. These visits are booked ahead and can be paired with stops in Fremont, Kingston, East Kingston or Exeter. On site we walk the eaves, take the measurements and write the price down. The county seat is here, and the town is part of Rockingham County, as is our base.

What customers say about installs

“He called me on Tuesday to tell me that there is rain expected and he would like to move the job up to Wednesday (today). I thought that was very professional of him to reach out and reschedule.”

Gutter questions from Brentwood

Do you serve newer homes on large Brentwood lots?

Yes. Brentwood's median home dates to 1995, and many sit on large wooded lots. We measure the roof, count the corners and set the downspouts so the discharge clears the foundation. The trip from Hampstead is about 13 miles, so we book visits ahead and give a written price afterward.

Can you install guards on wooded Brentwood properties?

Yes, we fit guards and screens. On a lot with oaks and pines over the roof, guards can cut how often you clean, though fine debris still lands on top and needs an occasional brush-off. We look at the pitch and the trees before recommending a style, and we quote it in writing.

How long does a full gutter install take in Brentwood?

It depends on linear footage, stories, the number of corners and the weather, so we give a time estimate with the written price. A ranch with short eaves takes far less time than a three-gable colonial. Because Brentwood is about 20 minutes out, we plan the work so the crew does not have to come back for missing materials.

How far is Brentwood from your Hampstead base?

Thirteen miles, which we put at roughly 20 minutes on the road. Brentwood is one of our farther towns, so we book these trips ahead and sometimes pair them with Kingston or Fremont jobs. Send your address and we will say plainly how the schedule looks.
