Long low commercial building with a continuous gutter run and several downspouts beside a river town road in Tilton, New Hampshire

Gutter Service in Tilton, NH

Tilton is a small river town with big roofs. Tilton School and the Tanger Outlets give it institutional and commercial buildings alongside its houses. We cover it from Hampstead, about 1 hour 15 minutes and 55 miles by our estimate, with trips booked ahead. The town is only about 12 square miles, so a single trip can mix a large roof and a house.

Tilton is small, with 4,116 residents, but its roofline is unusual for the Lakes Region. Tilton School and the Tanger Outlets bring institutional and commercial buildings to a town otherwise made of homes on the Winnipesaukee River.

Large roofs and the questions they raise

Tanger Outlets Tilton sits at 120 Laconia Road near I-93 Exit 20, and Tilton School was founded in 1845. We do not claim work on either. What we can say is how we approach any large roof: we ask about height, the roof type, how many downspouts discharge onto walkways or lots, and when the property is empty enough to work on.

We clean and repair gutters on commercial buildings, and a clogged downspout on a low, wide roof can back water across pavement fast. Our commercial gutters page covers that side of the work.

If you manage a large property, ask any contractor for a certificate of insurance and a written scope before work starts on a big roof. Tall walls and long runs raise access questions, and we settle how to reach each section before we price it, not after.

Older houses on a river-town grid

The median Tilton home was built in 1972, and 67% are owner-occupied (ACS 2020-24). A full 25% of homes pre-date 1940. That older stock tends to have wood fascia and tight lots, and a failing run can quietly rot the board it hangs from.

A town of twelve square miles

Tilton covers about 12 square miles, and under one of them is water (Census figures). It became its own town in 1869, and the village was earlier known as Sanbornton Bridge. Tilton School was founded in 1845 as the New Hampshire Conference Seminary, across the river in Northfield, and moved to its hilltop site above the village after an 1862 fire (SAH Archipedia).

The compact size matters for a visit. Interstate 93 Exit 20 meets US 3 and NH 11 here, and NH 140 starts on the east side of that exit. A house, a condominium building and a large roof can all sit within a few minutes of each other, so a single trip can cover more than one.

Getting a crew to Tilton from Hampstead

Tilton is about 55 miles out, so we do not treat it as a drop-in. We book it in advance and may group your visit with work in Belmont, Laconia or Gilford. For a business, say what hours work. For a house, say how tall it is and what you see on the roof edge.

Whether a routine gutter replacement needs a permit is unconfirmed, and New Hampshire permits are handled town by town, so ask the Tilton town office first, especially for a large building.

Tilton is covered as part of Belknap County.

What customers say

“Caio came out promptly to look at our 30,000 square foot commercial building in Plaistow and provided an estimate that evening. He came back a week later and did a wonderful job cleaning all of the gutters.”

“Caio was professional and courteous. He spotted multiple things that were wrong with our gutters beyond what we knew about and performed the repair promptly at an excellent price.”

Gutter questions from Tilton

Do you quote gutter cleaning on large Tilton commercial roofs?

Yes, we clean and repair gutters on commercial buildings. Tell us the building height, the roof type, how many downspouts there are and when the property is quiet. Tilton is about 55 miles from Hampstead, so visits are booked ahead. We price each building in writing after seeing it.

Are older Tilton houses harder to fix than newer ones?

Often they are slower, not harder. A quarter of Tilton homes were built before 1940, and those houses can have wood fascia that has taken years of water. We check that wood before we promise a repair, since a good gutter on soft fascia will not stay up. A written price follows the visit.

Do Tilton condo associations need a separate quote for gutters?

Usually, yes. Real-estate listings show condominium communities in Tilton, and the association or board normally decides on common roofs and gutters. Send us the building count and who approves work, and we will price each building in writing. Tilton is about 55 miles out, so visits are booked ahead and often grouped.
